If you are ever going to get rid of acne and see clear skin, then you must stop making these mistakes. Making these mistakes alone could be keeping you from getting rid of acne.

Mistake #1: Washing your face too often

Making this mistake actually makes acne worse. To get rid of acne you only need to wash your face twice daily. Even if you have oily skin, washing your skin more often will make your skin dry and irritate it. This will induce more acne.

Mistake #2: Following popular folklore advice

There are hundreds of acne treatment recipes that are circulating around in the form of well meaning advice. I have heard of it all too many times. It goes something like "don't eat junk food" or "you are not keeping your face clean", "do exercise and sweat more often, that will clear the clogged acne".

Mistake #3: Buying into proactive-type advertisements

There are many companies that are selling acne products claiming to clear acne in just 7 days. There are many cheap and low cost acne products that work just as well, but cost less than one quarter of what these cost.

Mistake #4: Giving up too early on a treatment plan

Too often we are promised quick and easy acne clearing solutions that we try just too many acne treatments and give up very quickly. Acne treatment takes at least 3 weeks to show any reasonable results.

Mistake #5: Eating Acne Inducing Food Items

Contrary to common belief, acne is indeed affected by your diet. Recent scientific studies have shown that acne is indeed affected by what you eat and it is not junk food.
